    3. By all means, STAY AWAY from these people. They have been warned numerous times about their deceptive advertising. We just received one on The New World of Webers. All genealogists I have talked to are leery of them. My husband and I purchased one about ten years ago, and it was nothing in the world but things like reproduced pages from telephone books, etc. etc. Many of the Webers, whom we knew were long deceased, were on these lists. They sell these things "The New World of _______", {pick a name???}, then send it out with a letter which is usually signed by a John Doe {whatever the name is}. They make it seem that the letter is being sent by an individual who shares your surname. Ain't so!! I feel sure my reply will not be the only one of this kind you receive.
