I am searching for any info on William Thomas whose will was probated in the Isle of Wight Co., VA in July, 1741[I of W Co Probate Records, Vol 4 & 5, pg 356]. I have done much work on his son Samuel, but have been unable to trace his other son Richard nor determine the parents. There were many Thomas families in I of W Co during the early 1700's and many died intestate making it difficult to separate them. ALSO- has anyone been able to decipher the will? of William Thomas which was written in 1688[I of W Co Land Records, Deed Bk #1, pg 1]. It is very difficult to read because it appears to have been written in Old English. Any help would be appreciated. J. Thomas Wisconsin
