Ann, I have a Maynard Thomas, b. 1823 in NY. He may have been the son of Even or Eben Thomas. He married Mary Perry in Calhoun Co., Mich. in 1848 and had four children. Before 1867 they moved to Ottawa, Franklin Co., KS. Maynard and his wife died there in 1900. Mary Perry's family also moved to Mich. from NY -- they came from Cortland Co., NY. The Thomas family may have also been from that area. I don't see any match, of course, other than another Thomas family that went from NY to KS (eventually). I don't know where Deerpark, NY is so I don't know if that is close to Cortland Co. or not.
