Have you visited the United Kingdom equivalent of USGenWeb? Its acronym is GENUKI (genealogy in the United Kingdom and Ireland). Don't have the URL handy, but a browser search should bring it up. You will find Wales (and England) divided into county pages (like USGenWeb) with surname listings and lots of other good info. Also, Great Britain required civil registration of births, marriages and deaths starting in 1837, although the Welsh and Scots were probably a bit slower to comply with English law. GENUKI has info on tapping into these records. P.S. My THOMAS line also is from Cardiganshire, but mostly Taliesin and Llanbadarn Fawr. I also have THOMAS in my maternal line in the 1700s and early 1800s in Trawsfynydd, Merionethshire.
