Hi Kay, I've been trying to help out my wife with her genealogy. Her Great Grandfather was John Williams Thomas. He was born June 1860 in Shelby Co, Alabama and died Jan. 6, 1932 in Anniston, Calhoun Co., Alabama. He married Martha (Mollie) Davis. Does this name fit in anywhere with you Benton (Calhoun) County Thomas's? My wife hasn't been able to find out any more about him. She knows that they had at least one child, Marvin Renfroe Thomas.
