There were DeHarts and Thomases in Brown Co., IL. There's even a DeHart Cemetery. I've done some research there on some of my other lines, and my mother has the cemetery book. My Thomas was James E. Thomas born in Madison Co., KY in the 1860's, son of Nathan Thomas and Anna Keisel(according to the marriage document).
