    3. Hi Everyone, I'm so excited. I've been searching for the names of my husband greatgrandfather for a long time with no luck. I only had the greatgrandmother's name- Maria. A few days ago a was going though some papers my mother in law had given me, ( I've looked though them many times), I was reading a list of names she had written and found nothing new. So I folded the paper back up and started to put it down when I noticed something written on the back down in the corner. Lo and behold it was the Thomases I've been searching for. His name was HARVEY S. THOMAS and his wife's name was MARIAH MATILDA MOORE, and it also said his father came to the US in Stonington, CT, very close to where I grew up and where I live now! So with this information in hand I went to the LDS library and went through the 1860 census and the 1870 census in Stonington. No luck, so I looked in the IGI files both in CT and OH. Bingo- there was Harvey listed in Cuyahoga County. It listed his marriage to Maria on 1/18/1876. After my long explanation, my question is: How can I get a copy of the marriage record and how much will it cost? Will the record contain any information about their parents?Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I don't want to let the trail get cold. Finally, the lesson of the day, no matter how many times you've gone through those old papers, look again and don't forget to look at the back. You never know what jewel might be hiding there! Thanks for listening to me and Happy Hunting! Elayne Thomas tfun@snet.net Researching: BROWDER, GEOHRING, MICHEL, THOMAS
