I have been trying to find out who the parents and siblings to my g.g.grandfather Oliver Perry Thomas is, or were, this is what I know. Oliver Perry Thomas was born about 1833 in Jackson Co., Va. (now W.Va.). He married Sarah Catherine Boggess in Jackson co. on Jan. 14, 1858. He said on his marriage license that his fathers name was George and on a census (1900) Kanawha Co., Poca District, he said his father was born in Kentucky. My Aunt has been going through some of her old papers and she thinks he had a brother named, Fred and Captain George, and one nicknamed Toad, who drowned when a steamboat sank that Captain George was the captain of, and a sister, who married a Sam Whiting.
