Do you by chance have the children from this marriage? I'm looking for a DeWitt or Dwight Thomas, born in 1820 in CT. He married either a Lucy or a Melissa. ( I have Lucy from records of a daughter, someone else fould Melissa from land records.) Daughter Ella Emogene was born in Hartford County, CT, in 1851. She married a John M. Ellsworthe. When her father died in NE, she wrote a letter to the county stating she was his daughter and she was born in CT. DeWitt (Dwight) Went from CT to IA, there he remarried and had two sons, Edward and Charles Victor. After they were born he moved to Otoe County, NE, where he died on Nov. 1, 1870. I am trying to find parents or brothers and sisters for DeWitt (Dwight) Thomas. Thank you for any help you can give.
