    3. Hi Leonie, Welcome to the list. Tell me more about your David THOMAS of Wales. I have a David THOMAS, who arrived from Wales in 1742. He lived in Wellingborough, Burlington Co.,NJ. He married Margaret LUCAS I believe, in 1750. I have knowledge of only one son Thomas THOMAS born 1761. At aged twelve his mother apprenticed Thomas to a tanner. At that point she may have been a widow. After the Revolutionary War Thomas and his family settled in Rostraver Twp. Westmoreland Co., PA. They had ten children, four of whom had no heirs. None of Thomas' children, born from 1785 to 1809 were named David. Children of the remaining six that had heirs were not named David. What I'm suggesting is that David may have had a son David, who was older then Thomas. When did your family arrive from Wales? I guess I should have asked that first. Jan <chuckles@iserv.net>
