He arrived in 1637 aboard the Mary & Ann at Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He belonged to the Marshfield Church. He died in August 1651 in Marshfield, Massachusetts. William's children: 1. Nathaniel, see below. 2. William Jr. never married #7360 NATHANIEL THOMAS William's son Nathaniel was born around 1606 in England. Nathaniel married Mary. He was known as Captain Thomas. He died February 13, 1674. Nathaniel and Mary's children: 1. William was born in 1638, he died unmarried March 31, 1718. 2. Mary married Capt. Simon Ray, she died before 1690. 3. Nathaniel, see below. 4. Elizabeth, she died after 1709 unmarried. 5. Dorothy died young. 6. Bethia married Lt. Nathaniel married on January 19, 1664 in Hingham, Massachusetts, Deborah Jacobs (see Jacobs family). Deborah died in Marshfield on June 17, 1696 at the age of 53. Nathaniel married in Boston on November 3, 1696, Elizabeth Wilkie Condey Dolberry. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Wilkie and the widow of Captain William Condey and Andrew Dolberry. Elizabeth died October 11, 1713 in Marshfield. Nathaniel married third in 1714, Elizabeth Dunster Wade. Elizabeth was the daughter of the Reverend Henry and Elizabeth Glover Dunster and the widow of Major Jonathan Wade. Elizabeth died in Medford in 1729. Nathaniel died in Marshfield on October 22, 1718. Nathaniel and Deborah's children: 1. Nathaniel was born October 18, 1664, he married on June 20, 1694, Mary Appleton, he married second on September 3, 1730, Anna Tilsdale Leonard, he married third on November 8, 1734, Mary Doty Allen (her father was Edward Doty of the Mayflower), he died in Plymouth on February 24, 1738. 2. William was born December 4, 1672, he was a Sea Captain, he married on June 4, 1701, the widow Abigail Ruck Henchman, he married second on October 21, 1717, the widow Anne Patershall Breck, they lived in Boston, he died there December 27, 1746. 6. Elisha was born February 20, 1674, he died before 1718. 7. Joshua was born August 17, 1677, married Ann, he probably died in Boston around 1743. 8. Caleb was born October 11, 1680. 9. Joseph and Ruth's son Joseph married in Portsmouth on March 15, 1737, Sarah Estes (see Estes family). Sarah died in Portsmouth. Joseph died in Portsmouth in 1780. Joseph and Sarah's children: 1. Ann was born August 26, 1739. 2. Joseph was born January 3, 1742, he married Ruth Tabor, he died in Portsmouth in June 14, 1781. 3. Jonathan #460 JEREMIAH THOMAS Joseph and Sarah's son Jeremiah married Bershebe Cora (see Cora family). #230 COOK THOMAS Jeremiah and Bershebe's son Cook was born December 31, 1784. Cook married on November 23, 1809, Lydia Ketley. Lydia was born August 27, 1790. Cook was a cabinet maker. Cook died March 14, 1846 in Sheldon, Wyoming Co., New York. Lydia lived with her daughter and son-in-law Eli and Sarah Balcome as of the 1850 census. Lydia died May 10, 1867 in Eckford Township, Michigan. The first granddaughter of each generation had Cook Thomas' wooden chest passed down to her. It is currently in the hands of the granddaughter of Barbara Kamphefner, the Great Granddaughter of Emma Balcome. Cook and Lydia's children: 1. William was born around 1818 in New York, he married Mary, they lived in Hartford, Van Buren Co., Michigan where he was a minister. 2. Ira W. was born around 1821, he lived with his brother William as of 1850, he died August 27, 1889 . 3. Patalina married Asaph L. Bradley, they lived in Hartford also. 4.
