    3. Hi Ernie: Try this URL entitled "Memorial Foundation of the German Colonies in Virginia"...it's a pretty complete site: http://www.germanna.org/ . There is a map on the main page that will help you locate Germanna on a modern-day map...just look for Route 3 on the map where it crosses the Rapidan River. And then please also try John Blankenbaker's excellent web-site entitled "Germanna History", which has a large number of short notes on the Germanna Colonists: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~george/johnsgermnotes/germhis1.html . Hope this helps, Jim Ward -----Original Message----- From: EPERRY4616@aol.com <EPERRY4616@aol.com> To: THOMAS-L@rootsweb.com <THOMAS-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, April 15, 1999 11:20 AM Subject: Fwd: Michael THOMAS (Germanna Colony) > >--part1_d94cc55c.24476a3c_boundary >Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" >Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > >Can anyone tell us where the Germanna Colony of VA was located.... on a >present day map?
