Hello list members, A few weeks ago I posted a query that I titled "looking for book" I asked if anyone had or had seen a book called "Pioneers of The Ozarks" I got a lot of tips from list members and several found a book by that title. I appreciated the help so much and marveled at the willingness of so many to help and share. That is what is so wonderful about genealogy research. I find genealogists to be a family community. It is great. Unfortunately it turned out to be the wrong book. I actually had the wrong title. I just found out that it is called "Life Sketches and Biographies of the Ozarks" (author unknown). I think someone sent me an e-mail about that very book and told me about a William H. MAY that they found in the book. I may be remembering wrong, however. I just recently found out that the son of one of the men I am seeking (John MAY) is named William H. MAY. I am still looking for the story of John MAY and Mary Ford and his brother? Reynolds MAY and his wife Hannah ENGLISH. Does anyone have this book: "Life Sketches and Biographies of the Ozarks" Has anyone seen it in a library. I would like to know the name of the author and possibly where I could purchase it or at least read it. If the person who may have sent the email about that book in the first place could send it again, I sure would appreciate it. I am looking for info about the surnames MAY, ENGLISH, FORD, BOUCHER, BRUTON, KEITH, and possibly others associated with these people. Thanks again. See my original query below.
