    1. William M. Thomas
    2. Hello to all, I'm new to this group so I'll throw out my request quickly and then try to fill in spaces when I can. I am descended from William M. Thomas through the oldest of his 4 daughters, Sarah. They lived in the Atlanta, GA area in the mid-1800s. Some of the information that I have discovered in my research doesn't match up with oral family history but what else is new? If anyone has info on this family line I'd be grateful to see it. 1. Abner Davis Thomas, NY & MI
    2. I have been reading this digest for some time and finally decided to post my brickwall in case someone can help. I am searching for the roots of Abner Davis THOMAS. I know he was born about 1825 somewhere in NY state. In censuses he lists his mother as being born in Connecticut and his father in NY. The first real mention I have of him is when he settled in Bowne Township, Kent County, Michigan in the 1840's. He married Laura Almena KENT in 1853 and they had 12 children. I have been able to locate them in censuses after their marriage date, but have no idea from whence he came, who his parents are, or if he had siblings. I do know that his children thought he was pretty nasty to the point where one of his daughters rubbed him out of a family photo. Can anybody help? Any Michigan THOMAS families that can provide a clue? Thanks. Laura Prescott Duffy Brookline, NH

    2. I am looking for information on my GGgrandfather, AMANDER PEMBROKE THOMAS. He was born in 1810, I think, in or around Syracuse or Manlius, Onondaga Co. NY. He married a LUCY KIMBALL between 1828 to 1833. Lucy was also from the same area. She was born in the same area, in 1809. They moved to Sterling, or Morrison, Whiteside, Co. IL. My Ggrandfather, MARK KIMBALL THOMAS was born in Sterling, IL., in 1846, Thanks, James Thomas

    3. Obit appeared in Alexandria, Va. Gazette for WILLIAM THOMAS, 60, who died in Piscataway, Md., on June 18, 1852. Noted that he was formerly of Alexandria, Va., but had lived in D.C. for past ten years. Feel he may be WILLIAM P. THOMAS who was interred in Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery about same time. Also that he may be the Capt. WILLIAM THOMAS who married Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson of Pr. George's Co., Mo. in Piscataway, Md. June 12, 1842. Marriage performed by Rev. Markray (National Intelligencer) Can someone do a look up for me to see if there is a will and if so the names of his heirs and administrators. Thanks.

    3. My Thomas line comes from Charles Co MD. However; William Thomas who married Sara Kennerly.(.parents of George Salisbury Thomas) was born 6-6-1729 in VA. His parents were I think Thomas Thomas who was from Wales..married to Elizabeth Barton and died in Nansemond VA. Thomas may have been Williams grandfather and I am missing a generation. I have Thomas dying in 1761 which makes sense except I also have in another place him being born in 1610! Were there 2 Thomas Thomas's? Or do I have a mixup. Can someone please help with the dates???? Annette
