Do you by chance have the children from this marriage? I'm looking for a DeWitt or Dwight Thomas, born in 1820 in CT. He married either a Lucy or a Melissa. ( I have Lucy from records of a daughter, someone else fould Melissa from land records.) Daughter Ella Emogene was born in Hartford County, CT, in 1851. She married a John M. Ellsworthe. When her father died in NE, she wrote a letter to the county stating she was his daughter and she was born in CT. DeWitt (Dwight) Went from CT to IA, there he remarried and had two sons, Edward and Charles Victor. After they were born he moved to Otoe County, NE, where he died on Nov. 1, 1870. I am trying to find parents or brothers and sisters for DeWitt (Dwight) Thomas. Thank you for any help you can give. I don't have a Benjamin or Z*** Thomas in my line (that I know of), however, my THOMAS's were located in Chester County Pennsylvania in the early 1800's (1820's / possibly earlier). My ggg-grandmother was born Ann THOMAS in 1811. She had a brother David THOMAS. Ann married Lewis CHRISTY in 1828. David THOMAS died in 1833, and Ann died in 1838. Have either of you come across these names in your search? I have been told by another researcher that there was a Benjamin THOMAS in Chester County Pennsylvania around that time, however, I think he survived to be an adult. Thanks, Mark
Looking to locate African American Thomas' from Prince William County, Virginia. I might be the only one looking for this type of information on this list. I've seen several posting referring to location, but none specifying race, which too can be of importance. Peace, Dena

Hello, Oh, I am sorry! I should have said the location. He lived in or around the Clark Summit area, Lackawana county, Pa. He died in the Clark Summit hospital. He might of lived in Factoryville/Scranton area. I am assuming he would of lived in the time of the late 1800's early 1900's. He was relation to a Willard Thomas, whom I have no information about, yet. Thanks Wendy

I would like to contact anyone researching any of the Thomas's in Montgomery County, Indiana. There are serveral Thomas families in this area in the 1800's. My gggrandmother was Esther Matilda Thomas. She was born in April 1829 in Ohio. She arrived, I assurme with her family, in Montgomery County, Indiana that same year. On March 16, 1848 she married William G. Keys. They had 7 children (Elizabeth A., William T., Amanda J., Martha E., John Franklin, Rozella and Jason), he died in the Civil War, and she died, March 12, 1886, and is buried in Montgomery County. I believe Esthers father was Jason Thomas, born 1802, in Ohio, and mother was Elizabeth, born 1800 in Kentucky. Their children: 1. a girl - born before 1825 in Ohio 2. Samuel Thomas - born 1825 in Ohio, m. Josina Titus in 1848 child: Amanda E. Thomas - born 1825 Indiana 3. Esther Matilda Thomas 4. John R. Thomas - born 1833 in Indiana, m.
