    1. [THOMAS] 1910 Texas census index
    2. Does anyone have access to this census index? I once had info on a M. L. Thomas or Millard Thomas that was in jail on this census and I cannot for the life of me find it now. I do know it was not in one of my "regular" counties that my relatives were in while in TX, but I now need that info again and just cannot find it! Any help would be appreciated! Darlene

    3. Hi Everyone, I'm having trouble with a Thomas family in Sumner County, TN. I have an Archibald Thomas and Mildred Edith (Milly) White who married there in 1826, and then ended up in Horse Creek, Greene County, TN. Archibald died before 1850 so I never find him in the census, not even in 1830 or 1840. He seems to be very illusive. Someone has done some Thomas Sumner county research (through IGI) but it is sketchy with no documentation. I've found Thomas's in the census but can't identify family groups. Does anyone have any Sumner county, TN connections? 3. I am currently helping with research into the descendants of the above Cornish Civil Engineer, who was well-known in Cornwall for his work on the Liskeard-Looe link line, the development of the Hannafore Estate, and other projects. He had three children; Philippa Mrs Scrooby (born 1860) Mary Anne, Mrs William Tinkham (born 1861) and Joseph (born 1863). I think Joseph Thomas junior was a Mechanical Engineer. I wonder if anyone knows about him or his family? Mrs Tinkham's only son married my great aunt and lived at Looe. Judy Buckley

    1. [THOMAS] letter dated 1920
    2. Judy Snowden
    3. This is a letter handed down in our Thomas family. We are trying to place the "Uncle Charlie and Uncle Frank in New Mexico" We don't know who those two men are, whether they are Thomas' or not. All the other mentioned people are in our branch of the Thomas family, descendants of Andrew J. Thomas, b. 1819, NC. Members of this Thomas family moved back and forth between Mobery,Missouri area to Canton, Indiana, working for the railroad. Also, we don't know who the Alice Howell, writer of the letter is or how she fits in the family. If any of these names are in your line, please contact me, we will be happy to share info. Dated May 3 1920, Hollister, MO. Dear Uncle & family, I am writing this letter to find out how you are we are all well at present. Charlie had the flu and lost six weeks work and then hurt his ribs on a break on a spray machine and was off 3 more weeks, we have left our farm at Branson and are 9 miles from Hollister, Mo and on a fruit farm working for Mr. Roy Callison he lived in Salsberry (town near Huntsville, MO) when he was a kid he said he thought he knew you, he is about 35 years old. We have been out here since August 1 1919 and we don¹t like this country at all we think we will be in K.C. again this fall. Bertha went to Business College in Springfield and is in KC now with Ida she gets $100.00 a month to start with and soon gets more. The boys are nearly as large as their father and are working every day. The baby boy will be 5 the ninth and his name is Walter James. There are too many ticks down here for us. The fruit here is nearly all killed will be a few apples & grapes but no peaches to speak of. I am writing this to find out if you folks are all right or not and I used to hear of you through Claude & Ruby (son of Cal and Nettie Thomas). I wrote to them a long time ago at Canton, Ill and my letter came back. Where are they now? How is Cassie & Ida and their children and the children at home tell me all about them. I hear from Harry real often. He tells me the Moberly news all the time and he hears from Uncle Will and the children. I write to Uncle Charlie and Uncle Frank is close to where he is he can¹t stay where Charlie is the altitude is too high for him. He is at Carlsbad and Charlie is at El Paso Gap, New Mexico. Frank is sick nearly all the time. Papa¹s health is pretty good yet he will be 78 the 23 of this month. I will close with love from all, your neice Alice hope to hear from you soon. 1. [THOMAS] Robert Thomas in VA late 1700's
    2. Tina Hall
    3. It has been awhile since I have asked about my Robert. I first run into mention of him in a book called "History of Sebree" by Louise P. Fleming. Sebree is a city in Webster County, KY. Robert was born about 1780 and left VA for KY about 1816 when he purchased land from a Joseph Towles. This land started at and included the Old Bethel Cemetery and ran along the Henderson/Hopkins county lines. The only known child of his is James Aaron Thomas born 1806 in VA. There is an Owen Thomas whom I have often thought may be a brother, but have found no evidence to substantiate it. Owen has been found in the same area as James. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? thanks, Tina Hall [email protected] List Admin.: Byrd-L, Shelton-L, MSWilkin-L Rootsweb County Coordinator: Henderson co., KY Tina's Family Genealogy Page: http://www.angelfire.com/wa3/thall/ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, make it dance!" ~ George Bernard Shaw +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
