For a minute there, Ed, before I saw the IN, I thought you might be in search of my Putnam Co. family. LOL, but that would be Putnam Co., FL, by way of Bradford Co., Boston, Nova Scotia and Philadelphia. Good luck on finding your Putnam Co. , IN, family. She married (1) Jackson Sellers February 1892 and sometimes after 1900 she married (2) William Pierce Davis. One of Frances (Sellers) daughters is buried in Emmaus Cem., Charlton Co., GA and her headstone reads Agnes K. Davis (b: January 1897 d: February 1920). Did she marry a Davis? All help appreciated. With all the new members on the list, I thought I'd resend this. Does anyone have any information or has anyone run across three brothers - Humphrey (born 1785), Hiram (born 1797) and Lewis (born 1792)? We believe they were born in Virginia but it is possible they may have been born in North Carolina. In 1812 they were living in Tennessee in Smith and Jackson Counties. In 1825 they moved to Hamilton County, Illinois. Humphrey did not like it and returned to Tennessee, where he remained until his death. Hiram and Lewis remained in Hamilton County, Illinois until their deaths. Any information or suggestions of where to look will be greatly appreciated. I am new to the list and am looking for information/descendents of the following family: Peter Thomas born about 1832 in Ohio. He married Harriet Bell in White County, Indiana in 1852. According to the 1860 census for White County, Indiana they had three children: Joseph born about 1856, Nathaniel born about 1857 and Charles E born about 1859. According to notes from my G Grandmother, they moved to either Wisconsin or Minnesota. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wanda
hi this is a very long shot, but here goes. looking for info re my grandfather's brother who was born in edinburgh scotland between 1891 and 1910. the parents were william jonathan thomas and agnes h lyon. I've been unable to find the birth of this unknown brother -SO FAR. It seems he joined the british army around time of WW1 and somewhere along the way he ended up as batman/butler to Field marshall Slim. He apparently travelled to Burma and all over in WW2. In the late 1950s if I remember right Slim became Govenor General Of australia and his butler went with him. No one in the family knows if he ever married or if he stayed in australia or returned to UK with Slim. If this rings a bell please get in touch and fill in one of the many blanks june duncan _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
