Listers, My Thomas line is very short at the moment. Mary Evelena Thomas b 28 July 1898 not sure where but Aluachua or Gilcrest or Lafayette or even Suwannee Co FL. m Tallie Isiah Dasher ca 1916 Lowndes, Co. GA They lived in Suwannee Co. Her father was B. C. (Bud) Thomas b 28 March 1852 in GA. The census says that his mother and father were born in GA d 19 Sept 1929. His decendants do not know his name as he was always called Bud. They speculate that the B.C. initials may have been his name. I know that many boys of the time were named with initials only. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Sarah
Looking for any info. on David Thomas, will dated 1819 in ALbemarle Co. Va. Wife was Anne (Rodes, I think). Some of their children were Archelaus, Samuel, Kemp, William A., Eliza (Elizabeth Anne), Rodes, Carver, John and James. Kemp was born 1780, married in 1805 to Nancy Baber, died in Wythe CO. 1865. Archelaus was born 1796, married 1820 to Rachel Baber (different Baber family), died 1870's in Rockbridge Co. William A. born ca. 1805 - 1810, married a Durrett, lived and died in Albemarle Co. Eliza married William Drumheller, lived in Nelson Co. Rodes married to Betsy Roberston, but may have been married previously; died in Wythe Co. ca. 1850 Carver married Jane Fitch and Susannah Watts It is possible that Carver and Rodes were middle or "call" names. Thanks. Pam Thomas

I have been looking for the parents of William Robert Thomas and his cousin Christopher Columbus Thomas. Both were born in 1820. William was born in Virginia, Christopher was born in either Virginia or Georgia depending or which reference you want to use. William married 1st, Emaline Bates, daughter of William and Mary Kemp Bates. 2nd Amanda Caroline Franklin. Christopher married 1st Mary Melinda Keller and 2nd. Amanda Caroline Franklin. No, I have not made a mistake. Christopher married Amanda after Mary died and William married her after both Emaline and Christopher died. I have reason to believe that their father's were brothers. William also had a sister. I have no idea what her name was, however she married a Dr. Brothers. No first name for him either. Any help would be most appreciated on locating the parents and families of these Thomases. I have been told that Christopher's father could have possibly been names Anthony. However, I have no other references in the families to an Anthony. William was a partner in a cotton gin in Tennessee. Both men died in Caldwell County, Kentucky. The sister and her husband, Dr. Brothers also lived in Kentucky where he had his practice. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Nettie THOMAS of Fayette, Iowa. The photograph was taken in Fayette at the W.H. Monroe Studio. The photograph was probably taken in the 1890's with Nettie appearing to be in her 20's at the time. Nettie may have been connected with Upper Iowa University in some manner. I'm hoping to find someone from her family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
