Hello Janet, For help with Providence and Boston passenger lists you might try the Rhode Island and Massachusetts sections here... US Ports of Arrival and Their Available Passenger Lists 1820-1957 http://www.genesearch.com/ports.html But you might first want to search in the Ellis Island Database <http://www.ellisislandrecords.org> as New York is where a lot of Italian immigrants arrived. (Covers NY arrivals 1892-1924.) Also, post-1906 naturalization records almost always give arrival details (date, port, name of ship). For some research tips see... Finding US Naturalization Records (a genealogy guide) http://home.att.net/~wee-monster/naturalizationrecords.html Happy searching.
