Where might I find a list of passenger ships sailing from Glasgow,Scotland to the Port of Boston in Massachusetts in the years 1886 and 1887? My grandfather William Stewart was born in Stirling,Scotland in early 1886 and, according to family history, came as an infant to the U.S. His younger brother was born in Salem,Massachusetts in October of 1887. Since the family settled in Salem,it is logical that they came to this country through the Port of Boston, about only 20 miles away. My great-grandfather had been a leather worker in Scotland and was perhaps attracted to the active leather industry in the Salem and Peabody,Massachusetts area. I have searched the records of the the Port of Salem, but unfortunately, record for ships arriving during these years are "missing". Thank you , Bill Stewart
