Hello George, The ship I believe you should be researching for Geo. Wm. Young is Vessel Name: SURREY; Vessel Identification No.: 1143352 There is an account of this ship, in abstract form, of Naval personnel from the New Zealand Shipping Company being on board SURREY during a storm, in January of 1942. There were survivors and loss of life. The ship was taken out by a U-Boat in June of 1942 and did sink.
