Stuart was a well known local postcard publisher in Southampton, and his cards, around 2,500 in total, are very collectable. His local views of Hampshire and his real photographs of ships are perhaps the best known. He died in 1923, but the business continued until 1937. My wild guess is that the picture of the Aquitania in dry dock was taken in the early twenties.
