    3. Shawna There are several ships by the name of Amazon. I see one sailing to Lisbon, one to NY, as well as some Schooners by that name going into NY. I found the Amazon in the London Times of Jun 5, 1863 in the Ship News Gravesend June 4 Sailed--the Amazon for New York No mention of the Captain. But.. I did find another item in the Times for May 12, 1863 Plymouth, Monday--The American ship Amazon, Captain Hovey, from New York, on the 25th of April, with a full general cargo, for London, landed nine passengers here this evening. So, this may be your ship on the way to London. Regards..
