I am trying to find the ship that Joseph Herskowitz came to America on. He came from the Hungary-Austria region. One census even lists them as coming from Germany. I have eliminated the ship Werra already, that Joseph isn't the right age. Joseph or Josef Herskowitz (have found this surname spelled different ways) b. Feb. 1864. He married Ida Markovitz, she was born 1866. I don't know if they married before they came or if they married here in America. The census records show him coming to America in 1890 and her in 1891. Their children were born in New York. I did find a Josef Hersckowiz listed as coming to america on the ship Teutonic, arriving in New york on June 19, 1890. (ship no. 135, film no. 1027786). Also on that same roll of film is an Ida Herschkovitz arriving on the ship Normannia on June 28, 1890. Also a Josef Herschkwitz on the ship Rugia, arriving Dec. 22, 1891 , film no. 1027626. I have not been able to find the passenger lists for the above ships to figure out if it is my Joseph. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks deb
