Diane Deagle at mapadeagle@shaw.ca asks about the family-Bergsveinn Jonsson, wife Sesselja Jonsdottir and 4 children, Margret, Jon, Kristjan and Dadi (their last name was Bergsveinson/Bergsveinsdottir) who emigrated from Iceland to Winnepeg in 1888. She confirmed that they boarded the Copeland to Scotland and I know that the Copeland ran aground in 1888 and was lost. Therefore the event could not have been later than that date. Bergsveinn died in Winnipeg,Manitoba,Canada Jan 14, 1891. Can anyone identify the ship that they crossed to Canada from the UK please? Don (on Diane's behalf)
