Iceland and Scotland were (still are) big trading partners, so Icelanders nearly always "ferried" to Scotland to embark on transatlantic steamers. This is the houshold . . you can see what fun transcriptions can be . . the surname for Margaret and her husband and son looks more like Johnson to me. In 1887 BUENOS AYREAN had three trips with Icelanders, the NORWEGIAN had two, SIBERIAN x1, GRECIAN x2. The passenger manifest is on Microfilm at the Library & Archives of Canada [LAC], in Ottawa. The Ships are placed on the reel, in order of arrival. You can borrow this reel on an Inter Library Loan [ILL]. These microfilms contain arrivals from ALL ports, they are not indexed.
