I recently learned that my GGrandfather filed for emegration in March,1852. He is listed as living in Hirzenhain,Dieburg, Nassau, Germany. Would that mean that would be the time he sailed? Where would the most likely port he sailed from be? His name was listed as Johann Phillipp Stroemer {anglicized to Streamer after he arrived here} His wife's name Catarina {Catherine} Daughters:Mary, Catherine, Willhemina, Louise and Margaret.
