    1. [TSL] A Ship Named "#31"
    2. Good morning Shipsters, A fellow transcriber asked me a question I can not answer, but I'll bet someone on this list can. The question is as follows: "Am looking for a ship named #31 which sailed to St John, NB in 1833-1834. Somewhere I have learned there is a John Paul on this ship traveling with parents and a sister. I think the parents were William and Elizabeth and the sister is Sarah. I have never heard of a ship with just a number! I think this ship sailed from Derry, Ireland to St John. I see on the Olive Tree Genealogy site that there is a note where there are only four separate years listed for reference; 1833 and 1834 are two of them, but there is no link nor have they been transcribed." If anyone on this list has an answer for my fellow transcriber, we'd surely appreciate it. Thank you in advance, Beverly Mack Zanon ISTG Charter Member/Research Team _http://www.immigrantships.net_ (http://www.immigrantships.net/)

Hey Beverly, I'm disappointed . . . you didn't look here ;-} http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/index.htm Saint John, N.B. Customs House Lists 1833-1834 & 1837-1838 (140+ passenger lists) http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/saintjohnindex.htm There is a John Paul here http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/sarah1833.htm . . . but that was the 74th ship arrival at St. John for 1833 This was the 31st ship for 1833 http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/bartley1833.htm This was the 31st ship for 1834 http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/highlander1834.htm I can't think of another reason for just a number . . for these ships anyway. I've transcribed them all. Those with no hyperlink had no list, just a sheet with the information I've included on the 'index' page. Where did the transcriber get the list? Sue --
