Greetings, In many counselors lies wisdom. I do believe that Wolfgang Laith is Wolfgang Raith. Birth year is correct, arrival is correct, month is only one month off from his declaration (I can't remember what month we took a vacation four or more years ago) and his destination to Appleton, Wisconsin makes sense. I can understand that the trilled German "R" could come out as an "L" to some ears. Also another brother came to the USA through Antwerp Belgium. Not to bore you with personal stuff but this again is a lesson that one must look at every option regarding spelling and the power of a list like this one. I am awed and humbled. 3. Hello: "... a lesson that one must look at every option regarding spelling and the power of a list like this one. But do not - ever - take them as the gospel truth, unless you were there at that moment in time when the event took place. So, you didn't find info you were seeking. So what. You know your ancestor(s) existed and alot of times that is all we have. Intuitions, inclinations, clues, feelings, inklings, etc., whatever term feels right... take it, go with it, and fly. The sky's the limit. "I am awed and humbled." --Clifford Louis Bischoff Aw shucks! Methinks another slice of humble pie twill do it, right hea... in the Heart, mate! <G> "Happy Hunting All", --Manaia Bishlark@aol.com wrote: In a message dated 09/26/2006 2:06:48 P.M.
