There has been a little discussion about routes and the method of conveyance on the St. Lawrence route to the US, during the 1850s, so I thought I would re-post this information circular of 1853. *note: Stg. = Sterling Cy. = Currency >From an information circular for Emigrants, prepared by A.C. Steamers leave daily for Niagara, Queenston, and Lewiston: passage 3s.9d. At Lewiston the Rail cars leave twice a day for Buffalo: fare 5s. Freight Steamers carry Passengers from Montreal to Kingston for 5s. each adult.
