Alan, The SHILLONG sank approx. 190 miles South of Suez in position 28.15.65N 33.14E following collision with Belgian tanker PURFINA CONGO. She was on voyage Hamburg and London to Tsingtao with six passengers and general cargo. Three members of her crew of 87 were lost.
