Hi All, I am looking for the movements of Austin POWER, born in Plymouth in 1817 to Mathew POWER (Master Mariner) and Elizabeth FISHER. He married Harriet BARDENS on 26 March 1844 in Plymouth, and is in London as the Publican of the Crown Tavern. He had been the Mate on numerous ships between 1836 and 1844. July 1854 he and his family sailed aboard the Fitzjames to Melbourne. This was a disaster and he lost his twins and wife within the first couple of years. I am still tracking his other three children at present but would like to know what happened to him as he appears to have disappeared. I suspect he may have returned to England on some ship as I see a marriage of an Austin POWER in Marylebone, London in 1874.
