Am looking for any info.about a Frank WOOD, born 26 May 1890 possibly as child of Isaac & Rachel WOOD in Yorkshire. He served for the British as a footsoldier in WW1. Between 1918-1925 when he possibly was living in Redcar (northern coast of Yorkshire) he traveled back and forth between England and Canada working as a ship's painter. Supposedly he landed originally on the westcoast of Canada and ended up in Toronto where he died 5 Feb 1963. Any suggestions as to what records might be available to help identify his birthplace & parents, etc. What ports would he have used to travel back & forth? Thank you.
