*new* for TheShipsList website http://www.theshipslist.com/ All the new and updated files and databases have been placed on their own page(s) Find them on the front page in between the big arrows --------------> <--------------- At the bottom of each of these pages I have placed links named " previous month " and " next month " so you are able to navigate back and forth between the monthly *new & updated* pages, as I only keep three months of *new* page links on the Home page. New for April 2006 is . . . o Passengers: o Lady Sherbrooke - 13th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 20th July 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 14th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 24th August 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 15th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 1st September 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 16th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 7th September 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 17th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 14th September 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 18th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 21st September 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 19th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 27th September 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 20th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 5th October 1824 o Lady Sherbrooke - 21st trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 13th October 1824 Nine more Lady Sherbrooke steamboat lists, with just 4 more to complete the year of records for that boat. The August 24th list is unusual as there are people from Boston and New York, but also from Spain! I know this because I found them registered at Hotels in Montreal ! I didn't see them arriving at the port of Quebec, so they may have come via the Erie Canal. It wasn't officially opened until 1825, but it was under contruction for several years. Of course, their ships of arrival at Quebec may not have been recorded, or the Maritime reporters missed listing those passengers, however it would be strange to miss such exotic names :-} The next 1824 passenger lists will be for the New Swiftsure, 29 lists, and they really nice and clear for the most part. o Fleets updated: o Lloyd Italiano o La Veloce Navigazione Italiana a Vapore o Matson Line o Lloyd Sabaudo o Gdynia America Line o Dodero Line - CAND o American President Line o Société Générale de Transport Maritimes SGTM o Rotterdam Zuid Amerika Lijn o Swedish American Line o London & North Eastern Railway Co. o North German Lloyd o Nippon Yusen Kaisha K.K. o Blue Star Line o Union-Castle Line o P.& O Line o Hamburg South American Line o Compagnie de Navigation Sud-Atlantique o American Line o Hansa Line (Dampfschiffs-Rhederei Hansa) o Atlantic Transport Line o Bibby Line o Det forenede Dampskibs-Selskab DFDS o Pacific Steam Nav. Co. o Compañía Trasatlántica Española In last *new* email, I wrote that I had added shipping Posters to illustrate some of our fleets, and I said << If anyone knows of some additional Poster images for any of our fleets which don't have one, I'd love to hear from you. >> The response was absolutely great, as you can see . . .thanks Ted :-} Fleet List here http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines/index.htm Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those list members (in other words, on-topic).
