My name is Shirley (Wolff) Ackley. I am searching for info on my Wolff family, specifically my great grand father, Joachim Charles Christoph Wolff (in Germany the name was spelled Wulff) who was born in Germany April 06, 1831 and he immigrated to America on April 29th, 1853. He lived in Chicago (a few years), worked and got married in Chicago, IL area, Bensonville, DuPage County. What I am trying to find is more info on his trip to America, the ship (info, pictures, etc), any other family members who may have traveled with him, where he entered America at, his journey to Chicago and possibly a more definite location on his marriage to Anna Katherine Louise Landmeier.
