    3. Hi Lois, I always enjoy a challange, and you have offered few details, so here are some ideas . . If he _did_ arrive in the US prior to Sept. 1906, then he didn't have to *prove* his arrival information in order to naturalize, so be aware that the details he provided may not be 100% accurate as memories fade. The most misremembered part of the date was the actual year of arrival. >Several possibilities to start looking for, but any suggestions of the >best place to begin? Yes, on Steve Morse's one-step pages which Lorine posted about http://www.stevemorse.org/ . . . there are lots of different search forms to use for Ellis Island Database (and others) . . they are intuitive, but take the time to read the "Frequently Asked Questions" if you get bogged down. If your search results bump you into the Ellis Island database, the be prepared with a user name and password so you can register, if you haven't already. (there is no charge) For example, these are all the males born between 1874 & 1884 whose name begins INTI who arrived at Ellis Island 1904-1907 Intini,Ambrogio Putigriano 1906 22 1884 Intini,Giovanni ... 1907 33 1874 Intini,Giuseppe Albocabello 1906 30 1876 Intini,Vincenzo Alberobello 1907 25 1882 Intino,Donato Bomba 1906 26 1880 Intino,Leonardo Monopoli 1905 31 1874 Good Luck, Sue -- TheShipsList Website http://www.theshipslist.com/
