    3. Can anyone tell me if John Wightwick, his wife Harriet, son & daughter-James and Elizabeth, were on the Eldorado which was supposed to have arrived in New York on 16 May. 1849 or 1850? Also Margaret Ann Cook and Richard Crang on this same vessel. If a picture is available, I am interested in this too. Thank you, Lillian S. DeHart

DeHart Hi Lillian, On Tony Cimorelli's Magellan website http://www.cimorelli.com/magellan/ it looks like it was 1850 Eldorado, arrived May 16 1850 from LONDON, Captain Michael Thompson. There was an August 15th 1849 arrival (from Londonderry) with the same captain. There was another (?) Eldorado from Liverpool which arrived at New York on May 5th 1849, Captain Peter B. Morrison. I can't help with a passenger list or an image. Sue -- TheShipsList Website http://www.theshipslist.com/
