The lists were compiled at the end of November 1817 (dated New Ross, November 29, 1817) and indicated the intention of those entered, to sail in the Spring of 1818 . . . as of that date. Some may have decided against emigration and others may have decided to be included either in 1818, or a later date. Protestant emigrants ca.1818 from counties Carlow and Wexford http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/emigrants1818p.htm Roman Catholic emigrants ca. 1818 from counties Carlow and Wexford http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/emigrants1818rc.htm There is a "Frs. Kavanagh" with a family of 9 persons on the Protestant list. I believe he only appears on that list, but some obvious family groups appear on both lists. <smile> You can see which pre-archiving (before 1865) lists are available here . . http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/index.htm#canada Make sure you also check . .
