Mary Manns (widow of Valentin Abands) born c. 1858 in Frankfort-am-Main and son, Ferdinand, born in Germany, possibly December 1881, were in New Orleans on April 1884. I've viewed each vessel on the New Orleans 1882-early 1884 microfilms and searched by name (including spelling variations) without success. Any information on which vessel they arrived in the USA or clues to finding would be greatly appreciated.
