Google just announced an initiative to make more old newspapers accessible and searchable online by partnering with newspaper publishers to digitize millions of pages of news archives. One of the papers they have partnered with is the Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, oldest newspaper in North America — publishing for more than 244 years. ProQuest & Heritage are also named as partners.
