    1. [TSL] 'MAMBARE' out of Sydney to South Pacific Islands
    2. Jim Burton
    3. AB 'Banjo' Paterson travelled on the Burns Philp Steamer MAMBARE on a round trip to the South Pacific Islands departing Sydney late 26 May 1902. Also aboard were 12 Australian ex-Boer War Veterans travelling to take up Burns Philp land allotments on South Santo in the then New Hebrides. In researching the names of those 14 men of whom 11 stayed in Santo and 3 returned to Sydney, I'd like to obtain a copy of the MAMBARE's Passenger List for that particular voyage of the MAMBARE. Can anyone advise me where to look next? If there are any 'Banjo' Patterson enthusiasts out there, upon your request, I will send you a photocopy of his article about his trip as published in the SMH September 1902. Hopefully one good deed deserves a ready response. Cheers for now Jim Burton
