    1. [TSL] Duchess of Northumberland - Cork to Port Jackson - 1836
    2. Magoris H.D.
    3. Hi all I have recently discovered that my ggg grandfather and his family sailed to Australia in 1836 aboard the Duchess of Northumberland. His name was Robert Huntley, a doctor from Staines, Middlesex, who had been appointed as the ship's surgeon and was therefore allowed to take his wife and children to Australia on board as well. However, I have not been able to unearth a passenger list. The ship arrived in Sydney in October 1836. One of Robert Huntley's sons, Alfred Huntley, is the Huntley after whom Huntley's Point in Sydney is named. Can anyone help? Many thanks Deirdre Magoris
