    3. From the London Times shipping news but it looks like more than one ship by this name: Jan 23, 1851: "Vessels Spoken With. The Emperor, from London, Dec 29." Mar 19, 1851: "The Emperor, from Manilla, has arrived at Queenstown; sailed October." Mar 29, 1851: "Arrivals in Table Bay, Cape of Good Hope.--the Emperor, Feb 4, from London" June 16, 1851: "China Ship News. Hongkong, April 24. Departures to Great Britain.--from Woosung, March 17, Emperor of China, to London." July 29, 1851: " Bombay. Arrivals. June 12.--The Emperor, from Liverpool 10th of February." Sept 16, 1851: "Liverpool, September 15. The Emperor, from Babis for Hamburgh, has arrived off Aberdeen." Oct 18, 1851: "Liverpool, October 17. The Emperor, from Bombay, arrived here yesterday, leaky, having been ashore on Little Burbo."
