Can any reader refer me to any information on the ship LOUISA ? There is a possibility that my Great Grandfather , from Denmark , reached Sydney , Australia , aboard this ship. Whether this ship sailed from European ports , bound for Australia , I have yet to discover... Incidentally , what would be the port of embarkation for a Danish emmigrant , I wonder ? The years of interest to me are between 1840 and 1866. My Great Grandfather was not a convict , but would a 'convict' ship also carry assisted immigrants ?
