    3. Hi Christine, I probably shouldn't even be answering this one (Ted will likely tell me <grin>), but I'm assuming that 72406 was the Official Number of the vessel. I went to Mariners website to look for it, but that number was missing http://www.mariners-l.co.uk/IBON-INDEX.html 72405 REGARD 1876 Greenock 130 72407 DIANA 1876 Greenock 27 The numbers on either side indicate a Greenock Registry for rather small ships ... would that fit? The only HESTIA on TheShipList website even close, was the Donaldson Line one which wrecked on Manan Island, Bay of Fundy, in 1909 with the loss of 35 lives. http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines/donaldson.html Sue -- TheShipsList Website http://www.theshipslist.com/ At 01:12 PM 2008-10-27 +0000, Christine Miller wrote: >Hello Listers, > >In 'Deaths at sea', I have found an entry that really interests me - > >Folio 2730 (Mrs) - ORR.
