ss QUEENSBURY (blt 1953) was owned by Alexander Shipping Ltd and operated from 1953 – 1971 by Capper, Alexander Ltd. At some stage Houlder's took control of Alexander's, and then Furness, Withy took control of Houlder's. Pictures of QUEENSBURY should be in the history of Furness withy by David Burrell, pub by World Ship Society, 1992. A record of her voyages will be obtainable from her "Voyage Record Card" held in the Lloyd's Collection at the Guildhall Library, in London.
