Hello, I am looking for any information for a ship and it's passengers sailing from Liverpool, England arriving at the port of New Orleans Dec, 25 1851. The few pieces of information I have show the ships name as "Queen" with it's master being someone known as McCartney. It had a passenger list of approx 435, four of which died during the voyage. I have ran across a ship named "Queen" in my searches showing it was built in 1865 so doubtfully this is the correct one. This is the ship my G,G,G, grandparents boarded when they emigrated from Ireland to the United States So any information or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob
Bob The London Times reported on Monday, Jan 19, 1852 in the "America" column: "Arrived at New Orleans.--Houghton, Clara, Lymes, Jane, Iowa, Queen, Retan, Annidas, Living Age, Mobile, Herald, Caroline, Tesmith, and Loodiana, from Liverpool;" I cannot seem to find her sailing.
