Hello Listners Again many thanks to those whom I have contacted off List who responded to my below inquiry. In my request I did not state what country my Robert Hamilton came to, it was Australia. I am still trying to find a ship and passenger list for him. My next question to the List is this, would he have had to come down to England from Scotland to board a ship bound for Australia? Many thanks John I wrote: Having received a death certificate for Robert Hamilton I have successfully found his date of birth as being 30 July 1833 Colvend Roughforth Scotland. His certificate states that he has been in the colony for 50 years and so he must have arrived from Scotland c 1864. My question is how do I go about finding him on a passenger list and what ship; he may have come with siblings.
