Next on our agenda is the 1830 newspapers . . the over 2" (5cm) stack of photocopies is waiting for transcription. :-} o Passengers: o SOUTH AUSTRALIA o barque Warren Hastings, from Southampton & Plymouth to Port Adelaide 10th October 1855 o ship Bucephalus, from Liverpool to Port Adelaide 13th October 1855 Two more 1855 lists. The WARREN HASTINGS has mostly English families, with many single young women, mostly Irish. The BUCEPHALUS has mostly Scottish families and lots of single young people, also mostly Irish. That vessel carried over 400 passengers. I am not as successful at finding former residence with the 1851 Scottish census, so if anyone recognises a family, please let me know. If anyone is able to furnish corrections or additions (like maiden names) to any of the South Australia Lists, please write to Robert or myself. Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those list members (in other words, on-topic). Enjoy !
