    3. Dear Listers, Slightly off topic , but do any listers know if the World Delux subscription for Ancestry includes access to Australian records or have these been omitted from that form of membership. I see UK records are included. Particularly, I am interested in records of Immigration and Shipping into New South Wales that can be viewed on Library Edition Ancestry sites. When searching the Ancestry site for details of the items included in this World Delux category there is the last item indicating "other items" being shown but fails to actually show just what are included! I am thinking about taking out a subscription and feel that World Delux should cover Australia but would like confirmation prior to signing up. If any Listers can clarify this for me I would be most appreciative. Thank you, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth I have an annual world deluxe membership sub to Ancestry and that covers ALL of their data bases so certainly includes the Australian ones . Only hassle I find with Ancestry is their screen format / layout changes . Its been abysmal for some 6 weeks now. .I use the Electoral Rolls a lot and currently this pre empts what I want to type ( Genesreunited does the same, although not as bad as Ancestry) If I type in for location ' Victoria' some 15 choices come up........... These are Australian electoral rolls and I shouldn't need to stipulate Victoria , Australia . Key word examples are the words ' pilot' and 'flying tigers' , which are meaningless in relation to this data Bye MargM Beautiful Central Coast of NSW Australia

    3. Hello Elizabeth I do have Australian records with UK Heritage sub, but am not sure what is in them. Have you tried these online records which are free. I realise that not every ship is covered, but have found it useful. http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/indexes-online/indexes-online#immigration-and-shipping Cheers Sandy PS I severely dislike what Ancestry have done with their search site. The UK censuses are annoying to begin with. "Progress" is not always progress IMHO!! rummins wrote: > Dear Listers, > > Slightly off topic , but do any listers know if the World Delux subscription > for Ancestry includes access to Australian records or have these been > omitted from that form of membership.
